1. Protective function: Prevent the problem of large opening resistance and difficulty in opening the valve caused by excessive pressure difference before and after the valve. Especially in large-diameter or high-pressure pipelines, the role of the bypass valve is particularly important. Through the pressure relief of the bypass valve, it can avoid the sudden influx of high pressure to impact the pipeline below the valve, or the torque damage to the valve caused by excessive pressure difference between the two ends of the valve. Especially in the steam pipeline system, when the working pressure is greater than or equal to 1.6MPa, and the nominal diameter is not less than 500mm for hot water pipelines or 300mm for steam pipelines, a bypass valve should be installed to reduce the valve opening torque. 2. Emergency function: The bypass valve can be used as a backup pipeline. When the main valve fails or requires maintenance and repair, the bypass valve can be opened to keep the medium flowing, so as not to affect normal production. 3. Regulation and control: The bypass valve can adjust the flow and pressure of the medium by adjusting the opening degree of the valve. When it is necessary to control the flow or pressure of the medium in the pipeline, the bypass valve is a very effective tool. 4. Preventing medium backflow:
Bypass valves can prevent the backflow of medium in pipelines by closing the valve. This is particularly useful when it is necessary to ensure that the medium can only flow in one direction.
5. Diversion effect:
Bypass valves can divide a main pipeline into two or more branch pipelines to achieve medium diversion. This is very useful when the medium in the pipeline needs to be distributed to different equipment or places.
6. Reservation effect:
When planning and designing pipelines, bypass valves can be used as reserved space for future expansion of pipelines. Reserve a certain amount of installation space for possible future expansion so that bypass valves can be added more conveniently when needed.
