1. The meaning of valve torque:
Valve torque, also known as operating torque, refers to the torque required to open or close the valve after it is sealed. The size of the valve torque is related to factors such as the type, diameter, material, structure and working conditions of each valve.
2. Calculation method of valve torque:
There are many methods to calculate valve torque, and the following two are common:
(1).Theoretical calculation method
According to the valve type, structure and material parameters, the valve stem diameter, pitch, friction coefficient, sealing area and other parameters are calculated, and then the valve torque is calculated.
(2). Experimental test method
By installing the valve in the process pipeline and conducting experimental tests with the torque meter, the operating torque of the valve can be obtained.
3. Application of valve torque in engineering
(1).Selection
In valve selection, it is necessary to select the size, material and model of the valve according to the actual needs of the project and refer to the valve torque.
(2). Installation and debugging
During the installation and debugging of the valve, the torque of the valve needs to be tested to confirm that it meets the project requirements and make relevant adjustments.
(3). Operation and maintenance
During the operation of the valve, it is necessary to regularly check whether the operating torque of the valve is normal. If there is any abnormality, it needs to be adjusted, repaired or replaced.
